On 5 – 6 June 2025, the second edition of /dev/games will take place: a game development conference held in Rome at the Conference Hall of Università Roma Tre, also available to follow via livestream.

Designed for those looking to break into game development or refine their skills and expertise, /dev/games welcomes developers, artists, producers, and industry professionals who have worked on all kinds of projects, from large-scale AAA productions to indie titles. The conference agenda features talks on careers in the video game industry, AI applied to games, engines and frameworks used in production, the challenges posed by immersive technologies, and many other timely topics. Numerous national and international speakers will take the stage, including experts from leading companies such as Ubisoft, Epic Games, Warner Bros, The Multiplayer Group, Storm in a Teacup, and other top-tier studios.

After the overwhelming enthusiasm shown for the first edition of /dev/games, we are ready for round two” says Andrea Tucci, one of the conference organizers and Advanced Gameplay Programmer at Rocksteady. “This year, we are raising the bar: alongside the conference, which will feature numerous high-profile guests, we are launching our first indie game showcase, a second stage dedicated to Italian independent talent. On the main stage, speakers like Luke Savage from Epic Games will share his 10 tips for building a career in game development, while Tommy Thompson will remind us all that even NPCs need love! It will be two days of advanced talks and networking, tailored for developers, artists, producers, business professionals, and most importantly, for students – the future leaders of the industry.

/dev/games will offer more than just talks on stage: the event will feature dedicated networking areas, an indie game showcase, and opportunities to connect with companies looking for new collaborations. Special attention will be given to students and educators, who will have the chance to engage with professionals and explore how to turn young people’s passion for video games into a future career.
