Since yesterday, Lucca has once again transformed into the European capital of pop culture with a new edition of Lucca Comics & Games, the largest event in the industry dedicated to comics, board games, cosplay, and, of course, video games.
Among the many initiatives enlivening the Tuscan city throughout the weekend, a brand-new event makes its debut: the Lucca Indie Corner, a free and open space located in Via Vittorio Veneto 33, bringing to the heart of the city a selection of independent video games born from the passion and creativity of Italian developers.
A free space open to everyone, where visitors can try out different indie games, meet their creators, and actively support the growth of the Italian video game industry. No triple-A titles, no major announcements: just authentic and original experiences crafted by teams who see video games as art, experimentation, and a way to connect with their audience. It is an opportunity to experience made in Italy creativity and engage directly with the people bringing these works to life.
Among the featured titles are The Adventures of Tango Rio by Bean Adventure Agency, The Fortress by Baryonyx Games, V’s Rage by bit ManiaX, Timeater by GFCreativeLab, and more.
“This is the first edition of the Lucca Indie Corner” explains Filippo Cosentino, organizer of the initiative. “The goal was to create a festival within the festival, designed to grow year after year. We already have big plans for the future, but above all, we want to enjoy the coming days together with developers and visitors, celebrating Italian-made video games. ”
The Lucca Indie Corner is organized with the support of Excaliber, which has always been committed to promoting Italian talent and supporting the independent scene both in Italy and abroad.
If you are in Lucca or planning to visit the event in the coming days, be sure to stop by the Lucca Indie Corner!
