Africa Games Showcase is a new Steam promotion dedicated to videogames developed by game studios based across the African continent, promoted by Africa Games Week and organized by Excaliber.
The initiative aims to celebrate the creativity, diversity, and growing vitality of the African gaming ecosystem, offering studios and developers a unique opportunity to showcase their games together to Steam’s global audience.
For Excaliber, the project represents an important opportunity to support an industry that is still expanding but already shows significant creative and commercial potential. Africa is home to a growing number of emerging studios, new voices, and original projects, and Excaliber is proud to contribute to giving greater international visibility to an evolving ecosystem that still does not always receive the attention it deserves.
Africa Games Showcase will take place in early December, during the week of Africa Games Week, providing an additional promotional boost to the industry alongside the continent’s leading B2B video game event. The goal is to connect the visibility generated by Africa Games Week with a broader international audience on Steam, helping African games and studios reach players, media, and industry professionals beyond the continent.
Developers operating across Africa are invited to submit their games for the showcase through the application form available at this link. Participation in the initiative is completely free of charge, and submitted titles will be reviewed by the organizers to ensure that they meet the eligibility requirements for inclusion in the Steam promotion.
Applications will remain open until October 15, 2026.
