The 123 Stars promotion, created by Excaliber as a spin-off of the Indie Assemble initiative, has come to an end.
On 1 – 7 September 2025, a total of 123 video games selected by an international Jury were featured on Steam, where they were enjoyed by countless players eager to discover and play indie gems – already available or coming in the months ahead.
During this fantastic week, The 123 Stars reached over 1.6 million impressions and more than 25,000 unique views. A result that once again confirms the strong interest of the wider public in independent productions.
Another important announcement regarding The 123 Stars concerns the awarding of the Brightest Star, a recognition given by the initiative’s audience based on a shortlist selected by the Jury.
After reviewing the users’ votes, Excaliber is delighted to announce that the Brightest Star goes to… Planet of Lana!
Developed by Wishfully and published by Thunderful Publishing, Planet of Lana is a puzzle-adventure game with a strong cinematic feel, telling the story of a young girl, Lana, and her loyal companion as they embark on a journey full of challenges and dangers to save their world.
Planet of Lana now joins As Long As You’re Here, winner of the Jury Choice recognition, and will have the opportunity to take part in the next two Indie Assemble initiatives within the Shining Stars section. Congratulations!
Following these positive results, Excaliber is pleased to announce that work has already begun on the next Indie Assemble initiative on Steam, scheduled for early 2026, with the goal of achieving even greater results to give indie productions from around the world the visibility and support they deserve.
