The crowdfunding campaign for Intermundia: Dungeons, Polygons & Magic has officially launched on Kickstarter. The project is developed by Trinity Team in collaboration with Excaliber.

Intermundia: Dungeons, Polygons & Magic introduces the concept of the gamebook 2.0, a hybrid experience that blends the narrative depth of a traditional printed gamebook with the interactive mechanics of a video game. No more pens and record sheets filled with notes: to progress through the adventure, readers will alternate between reading the physical book and playing sessions within an RPG installed on their mobile device.

The project is set in the universe of Intermundia, a virtual reality MMORPG populated by millions of users. The story follows Mar, a young novice summoner, and his childhood friend and mentor, the paladin David3. By exploring dungeons, battling enemies, and completing quests, the two will grow stronger in order to take part in the Immortal Games, a tournament offering fame and fortune.

The hybrid nature of Intermundia: Dungeons, Polygons & Magic aligns perfectly with the Kickstarter platform. The crowdfunding campaign launched by Trinity Team will help finance the production of the physical gamebook, the expansion of in-game content, and the development of the project’s fully digital version, which will be released in Early Access on Steam during 2026. Rewards include physical and digital editions of the gamebook, an artbook, exclusive pawn sets, and creative tiers that allow backers to directly contribute to the creation of enemies, bosses, and even a character destined to accompany Mar and David3 throughout the adventure. In addition, everyone who supports the campaign will receive a copy of Intermundia Genesis, a novel set in the same narrative universe as Intermundia: Dungeons, Polygons & Magic.

Intermundia was born from the desire to push beyond the traditional boundaries of the gamebook” comments Giorgio Catania, founder of Excaliber and creator of the narrative universe. “We want to deliver an experience that merges reading and video gaming into one grand adventure.
